Community Center Pool

The Community Center Pool features a zero-depth entry pool with splash play features and two 25-yard lap lanes. The pool is a year-round amenity that is also heated from October through April.

Splash, Float, Swim! (ages 3-6)

The city is on a mission to prevenUSA Swimming and USA Swimming Foundation Grant Recipient 2025 logot drowning incidents for Winter Park youth through Splash, Float, Swim!, a cooperative effort with AdventHealth, YMCA® of Central Florida and The Mukti Fund. To fulfill this mission, FREE beginner level swim lessons will be provided at both the Community Center and Cady Way pools to all Winter Park children residents ages 3-6.
Please note: Splash, Float, Swim! only runs during the school year.

If lessons need to be cancelled due to inclement weather, a credit for that individual lesson will be added to the family’s account for future use. All Preschool lessons have a maximum of 5 participants per class. All Learn-to-swim lessons have a maximum of 7 participants per class.

6:30-7 p.m. | Learn-to-swim L1 (ages 7 & up)

“Splash, Float, Swim!”: Beginner lessons for children ages 3-6. These lessons teach basic swimming skills which can be completed with support of an instructor. These lessons are ideal for children who have never had swim lessons before. (Please see the Splash, Float, Swim tab for more details.)

Learn-to-swim L1: Beginner lessons for children ages 7-16. These lessons teach basic swimming skills which can be completed with support of an instructor. This level is ideal for children ages 7 and up who have never had swim lessons before or who cannot swim on their own.

Adaptive Swim Lessons

We’re excited to introduce Adaptive Swim Lessons—specially designed to teach water safety and swimming skills to children with disabilities who do not benefit from typical group lessons. Each class is taught by a certified Adaptive Swim Instructor in a 1-on-1 setting, providing a supportive and personalized environment to help every child thrive in the water. Help your child build confidence, stay safe, and have fun in the pool!

Lightning System

The City of Winter Park has two Thor Guard Lightning Prediction and Warning Systems located in City Parks. Patrons visiting these parks will now have an audible and visual warning signal when potential lightning strikes are in the immediate area.
