Community Center Pool

The Community Center Pool features a zero-depth entry pool with splash play features and two 25-yard lap lanes. The pool is a year-round amenity that is also heated from October through April.

Splash, Float, Swim!

The city is on a mission to prevent drowning incidents for Winter Park youth through Splash, Float, Swim!, a cooperative effort with AdventHealth, YMCA® of Central Florida and The Mukti Fund. To fulfill this mission, FREE swim lessons will be provided at both the Community Center and Cady Way pools to all Winter Park student residents currently enrolled in kindergarten.
Please note: Splash, Float, Swim! only runs during the school year.

Lesson Descriptions
Preschool Level 1 Beginner lessons for children ages 3-5. These lessons teach basic swimming skills which can be completed with support of an instructor. This level is ideal for children who have never had swim lessons before. 
Preschool Level 2 Intermediate lessons for children ages 3-5. These lessons build on fundamental skills and are ideal for children who can complete some skills without assistance but need support for other skills.
Preschool Level 3 Advanced lessons for ages 3-5. These lessons build on skills to allow children to swim independently and change directions in the water. All Level 3 skills are performed without assistance. 

Learn-to-swim L1 Beginner lessons for children ages 6 and up. These lessons teach basic swimming skills which can be completed with support of an instructor. This level is ideal for children ages 6 and up who have never had swim lessons before.
Learn-to-swim L2 Advanced beginner lessons for ages 6 and up. These lessons build on fundamental skills and endurance to swim longer distances and change direction. All Level 2 skills are performed without assistance. 
Learn-to-swim L3 Intermediate lessons for ages 6 and up. These lessons build on swimming 25 yards using front crawl and backstroke. Children also start to learn stroke development for breaststroke and dolphin kick.

Parent & Child Level 1: Beginner lessons for children 6 months-2 years. These lessons work on water acclamation as well as learning floating & basic motor skills in the water with support. One parent must enter the water with their child for these lessons.

Adult Learn-to-Swim: Beginner level lessons for adults 18 & up.

Lightning System

The City of Winter Park has two Thor Guard Lightning Prediction and Warning Systems located in City Parks. Patrons visiting these parks will now have an audible and visual warning signal when potential lightning strikes are in the immediate area.
