High-Efficiency Toilet Retrofit Rebate

Purpose

The intent and purpose of the High-Efficiency Toilet Retrofit Rebate Program are to reduce the amount of indoor water usage by the Winter Park Utilities customers through the conversion of older medium and high flow toilets with new High-Efficiency Toilets (HET) not exceeding 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf).

Definitions

High-Efficiency Toilet – HET (1994 – current) refers to toilets rated for 1.28 gallons per flush (gpf) or less.
Medium Volume (1984-1993) refers to toilets rated for 3.5 gallons per flush (gpf).
High Volume (Pre-1984) refers to toilets rated for 6.0 gallons per flush (gpf).

Duration

The rebate program was established in October 2008 and will continue as long as funding is available. The continuation of the rebate program is based on the approval of the City of Winter Park City Commission. The rebate program is not retroactive.

Appeals

Any applicant who disputes the decision of the City of Winter Park Utilities regarding the eligibility for a rebate must submit their comments in writing to the City of Winter Park, Water & Wastewater Utilities, Rebate Coordinator, 401 S. Park Ave., Winter Park, Florida 32789.
