The CRA supports a number of community initiatives devoted to improving the health, education and environment of the people it serves.
Home Renovation Program
The Home Renovation Program was designed to ensure safety and to maintain the character of residential neighborhoods. To date, over 136 homes have been improved with over $1.5 million invested for income-qualifying families within the CRA.
Residential Driveway & Paint Programs
Home safety improvements are a first priority but improving the aesthetic value of homes also adds to the quality of life for residents. In this program, owner occupants are eligible for funding to repair or construct driveways, as well as funding for new exterior paint.
Business Façade Matching Grant Program
The Business Façade Improvement Program allows for matching grant funds of up to $20 thousand to be provided toward exterior improvements to businesses within the CRA. The program supports economic stability and maintains the character and quality of commercial districts through leveraging private-public funds.
The program was adopted to improve the aesthetic appearance of buildings in the boundaries of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Area. It provides a financial incentive of up to 50 percent of a qualifying project cost, or $20,000 (whichever is less), for both property and business owners to re-invest in their buildings.

Business Sign Replacement Program
The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) of the City Of Winter Park established the Business Sign Replacement Grant program to provide a financial incentive to property and business owners to replace existing pole style signs and reinvest in the exterior of their business or commercial property with a monument style sign. The program specifically encourages redevelopment and reinvestment for commercial properties located in the Winter Park CRA district of the City.
Merchant Employee Parking Program
The CRA implemented the Merchant Employee Parking Program to make spaces available on Park Avenue for customers and to offer free all day parking in designed areas for downtown employees.
Summer Youth Enrichment Program (SYEP)
Through the CRA and numerous local non-profit organizations, the SYEP offers paid internships to high school youth focusing on providing real world working experience and developing business etiquette skills to aid with future career success.
The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) of the City of Winter Park established the Summer Youth Enrichment Program (SYEP) to provide teenage CRA residents with enriching summer experiences to help introduce them to the business world, further their sense of responsibility, provide an educational experience, and expose them to new life experiences. Which in turn, leads to improved character and understanding of the world around them.

Organizational Support Program
The purpose of the Organizational Support Grant is to assist community organizations by providing a one-time financial contribution to associations serving the CRA area. This program was developed to assist non-profit that create programs to address specific needs within the community while supporting the mission and principles of the CRA. The organizational support program provides small monetary grants that are in no way intended to provide general operating funds, finance agency operations, or take the place of fundraising efforts.
Qualified Targeted Industry Incentive Program
The CRA promotes the expansion, growth and development of high-wage jobs to maintain the City of Winter Park’s competitiveness as a location for major employers; incentivizing continued long-term investment and involvement in the community.
