Mead Botanical Garden

Stabilization efforts began June 3 and will extend through various priority sections of the creek. The top priority being to address the extensive damages to the retaining wall at Mead Botanical Garden. Starting December 3, the north trail of Mead Botanical Garden, off Pennsylvania Avenue, will be closed for approximately one month (weather permitting) as Howell Creek restoration efforts are conducted.

During restoration, Pond and Company as well as city staff will enter the creek at various locations, including through adjacent residential properties. They may enter the creek on foot or traverse the stream to monitor these activities.
