Closures & Construction
- Due to renovations, the boat ramp and beach at Dinky Dock Park will be closed starting on Monday, August 4. The project is expected to take approximately three weeks (weather permitting).
- Due to scheduled maintenance, the Venetian Canal between Lake Osceola and Lake Maitland will be closed July 23 through August 20. However, the canal will be open on weekends.
About Dinky Dock Park
This 1.56-acre year-round park is open from 8 a.m. until dusk and offers a fishing pier and boat ramp to our community. Swimming is permitted.

Boat Launch Information
Boat launch and trailer parking are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at Dinky Dock Park. If trailer parking spaces are full, parking will have to be secured offsite. The length of any boat to be launched or operated on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes must be less than 24 feet. No boat exceeding a width of 8 feet shall enter any canal. There is no fee for canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards.
PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase an annual boat permit online, it will be mailed to you. If you would prefer to pick one up, please visit City Hall at 401 S. Park Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 pm.,
or the Winter Park Library during their regular business hours.
