
Keep Winter Park Beautiful & Sustainable(KWPB&S) invites you to enter our annual Nature Photography Contest in honor of National Nature Photography Day (June 15) and help us promote the natural beauty of our city. Images must feature public parks and spaces within our city boundaries.
The City of Winter Park’s Keep Winter Park Beautiful & Sustainable (KWPB&S) program is recognized as an official affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. KWPB&S raises funds for our projects and promotes beautification throughout our community. This contest promotes KWPB&S’ mission of improving the quality, sustainability, and aesthetics of our environment in order to create a healthier, more beautiful place to live, work, and play for today’s residents and future generations. This contest showcases Winter Park’s environmental assets.
Each entrant can enter up to two (2) photographs. Twelve (12) selected photographs will be showcased electronically throughout our city on virtual kiosks, on the City Hall lobby monitor, and on the Winter Park Natural Resources Facebook page. About the Photograph(s)
The image should highlight the natural beauty of Winter Park. This may only include public parks and spaces, and there must be a description for each image describing the location where the photo was taken. Plants and wildlife may be included in the photo, but no invasive plants or wildlife may be included. Manmade objects may be in the photograph, but should not be the primary focus.
Nothing should be digitally added to an image, including watermarks and signatures, and aside from dust spots, nothing should be taken away. Normal processing of RAW image files and minor adjustments to color and contrast are acceptable, as is minimal cropping.
Images must be submitted in .jpg or .jpeg format, with files no larger than 10 MB. The file name of the photo should read:
Entrant’s Last Name, Entrant’s First Name – Title of Work
Example: Doe John – Lakeside Spanish Moss.jpg
Prizes will only be awarded to the person whose name is on the registration form at the time of submission.
Entrants shall not infringe on the rights of any other photographer or person or submit images that involve the willful harassment of wildlife or damage to the environment by the photographer.
Entry and Form Requirements
No fees are associated with entering the contest. Entrants must complete all information on the entry form. Incomplete entries are void. Photographs must be accompanied by the entry form. All entries become the property of KWPB&S and cannot be returned. KWPB&S assumes no responsibility for late, misdirected, or illegible entries.
Entries must be received by midnight, Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Judging
Twelve winning photos will be chosen from all submissions by our KWPB&S Advisory Board in July.
Photo Use and Rights
Winners will be displayed on the Natural Resources & Sustainability Facebook page and the City of Winter Park’s digital screens, including the City Hall lobby, Park Avenue kiosks, and the Train Station, throughout the month of August.
All images entered in the contest may be used in future promotional materials by Keep Winter Park Beautiful & Sustainable. The photographers will be credited whenever their image is used.
Release of Liability
I agree to indemnify and hold the City of Winter Park harmless from any and all claims, liability, losses, and causes of actions that may arise out of this agreement. The entrant shall pay all claims and losses of any nature whatever in connection therewith and defend all suits in the name of Keep Winter Park Beautiful & Sustainable when applicable and shall pay all costs and judgments which may issue thereon. The entrant further agrees to abide by the terms of this agreement.
Failure to comply with all the contest provisions will lead to the disqualification of the entry.
