Because the City of Winter Park realizes the importance of immediate notification, it is using technology to its advantage to send out notifications such as extreme weather conditions, boil water alerts, power restoration status, and hurricane/tornado warnings that can impact your business, home or neighborhood. Now is the perfect time to be prepared for emergencies by signing up for the city’s emergency alert system, Winter Park OUTREACH Emergency Alert System, powered by CodeRED®. In addition to outdoor warning sirens throughout Winter Park, OUTREACH will notify residents and business owners of impending emergencies via their home phones, cell phones, and/or email.

The city local emergency response team can then keep you informed immediately of any major emergency or critical community alert that may impact you, your business, and your neighbors.  Examples include:  evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, silver alerts (missing and endangered), and missing child reports.  Please note, these notifications can occur at any time of the day or time as emergencies can be unexpected and unpredictable.
