Advises the Mayor and City Commission on matters regarding the capital needs, rate structures and policies related to the operation of the city’s utilities system.

Terms: 3 years, coinciding with the Mayor or City Commissioner responsible for making an appointment(s). Generally, initial appointments are made at the second regular Commission meeting after the commission member is sworn in for a new term of office.
Term limit: 2 consecutive terms

Requirements

  • Members shall be residents of the city.
  • To the extent reasonably possible, the membership shall consist of licensed professionals without conflict of interest who have expertise in the utilities and infrastructure for provision of utility services, or the legal and business aspects of providing the subject utility services to the customers of the municipal utility systems within the City of Winter Park.
  • One member shall be a nonresident customer of the water and sewer utility, which will be one of the Mayor’s appointments.
