Planning & Zoning Board

The purpose of the Planning & Zoning Board is to review and make a recommendation on all ordinances, subdivisions and major building plans which effect the development and use of land in the City of Winter Park. The decision of the board on each public hearing item is a recommendation to the City Commission. The City Commission will render a final decision.

Please note: The Planning & Zoning Board meetings are held at 6 p.m.

Term: 3 years, coinciding with the Mayor or City Commissioner responsible for making an appointment(s). Generally, initial appointments are made at the second regular Commission meeting after the commission member is sworn in for a new term of office.
Term limit: 2 consecutive terms

Requirements

  • Members shall be residents of the city.
  • Consideration will be given such that if reasonably possible, membership shall include a Florida licensed architect, a Florida licensed landscape architect, or a Florida licensed civil engineer.
  • Requires filing annual Financial Disclosure form.
