Energy

I will swap out frequently used CFL or incandescent light bulbs for more energy efficient light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and turn off lights and electric equipment when not in use.(Required)

LED light bulbs are extremely efficient at converting energy into light. An LED bulb produce an average of 85 lumens per watt of power used, which is approximately 15% more than CFLs and more than five times as much as an incandescent. Trees improve air quality by producing oxygen and trapping dust, pollen, and other pollutants. They also store carbon, offsetting harmful byproducts of fossil-fuel burning. Winter Park residents can pick-up a free tree during the city’s annual Earth Day in the Park.
