The Winter Park Police Department offers you the ability to report certain non-violent property crimes online. These reports are used to understand crime patterns in our city and to help reduce overall crime.
By filing an online report, you understand that no follow-up investigation will be initiated unless investigatory leads are developed.
If you believe there may be fingerprints, DNA, or other evidence, or if you want to prosecute the crime, please consider calling us at 407-644-1313 to have an officer take your report in person.
If this is an emergency, please call 911 for an officer to respond in person!
You are not required to use the online reporting. If you prefer to speak with an officer, please call 407-644-1313 and we will dispatch an officer to meet with you in person.
You can currently report the following crimes online:
- Harassing Phone Calls
- Vehicle Burglary
- Fraud or Forgery
- Lost Property
Before you begin your report, please gather as much information as possible about the crime. Model numbers, serial numbers, or any other way to identify your property are helpful.
You will be asked to provide information about you, your property, and what happened using the online report form.
After you fill out your report
You will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number after you submit your online report. Online reports are generally reviewed the following business day. Once we review your incident and determine that it meets the criteria for online reporting, we will assign a case number and provide that to you. You can give the case number to your insurance company for claims.
