Our staff works to patrol and notice observed violations, but unfortunately we cannot be everywhere all the time. When reported, each condition is examined by one of our staff who will physically review the case and determine if a violation exists.

The more information you can provide, the better prepared we are to properly examine the reported situation and bring it into compliance. For example, providing the correct street name and address. Our staff will then determine if the situation is an official violation.

Reporting Overgrowth of Vegetation

Each year during our rainy season we see an increase in reported violations. These violations are reviewed when properties have vegetation/grass growth over 12 inches in height.

Safety & Code Compliance Complaint Form

Florida has a very broad public records law. As a result, any written communication created or received by City of Winter Park officials and employees will be made available to the public and media upon receiving a properly formatted request unless otherwise exempt. Under Florida law email addresses are public record. If you do not want your email address released in response to public record requests, do not send electronic mail to this address or office. Instead, contact our office by phone or in writing.
